Our mission at Paul R. Smith Middle School is to develop self-motivated life long learners who reach their highest potential. This occurs through a challenging and stimulating curriculum and the establishment of positive relationships between teachers, students, parents, and the community.
PRSMS Infinity
Infinity is a blended learning classroom offered to students in the 6th grade and 8th grade for the 2013-2014 school year. The Infinity class combines online learning, face-to-face learning, and student paced learning. Students in the class take Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science in the Infinity class. Students in the 6th grade will take developmental reading and one elective in a traditional classroom. Students in the 8th grade will take a Leadership elective in the Infinity classroom and one elective in the traditional classroom.
Students who are selected for this class will use the Pasco eSchool curriculum while being supported by highly qualified teachers in the classroom. Students are expected to follow a pacing guide and conference with teachers weekly to discuss progress. The ideal Infinity candidate will be motivated, independent and ready to learn.
