Paul R Smith Middle School is located at 1410 Sweetbriar Drive Holiday, Florida and is part of the Pasco County School District. Opening in the 2006-2007 school year, PRSMS is currently home to over 1000 students from 6th through 8th grade. The school was named in honor of United States Army Sergeant First Class Paul Ray Smith (September 24, 1969 – April 4, 2003) on August 25, 2006. He posthumously received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Operation Iraqi Freedom. While serving with B Company, 11th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division in Baghdad, Iraq his team was attacked by a group of Iraqi fighters and after a short firefight he was killed by Iraqi fire. School Mission Statement
Our mission at Paul R. Smith Middle School is to develop self-motivated life long learners who reach their highest potential. This occurs through a challenging and stimulating curriculum and the establishment of positive relationships between teachers, students, parents, and the community.
The PRSMS school day runs from 8:35 am– 2:55 pm. Students may arrive on campus at 8:20 am.
