How can my child receive guidance services?

  • Self-referral
  • Request of a counselor
  • Parent referral
  • Administrative referral
  • Teacher/staff referral
  • Students who would like to speak to a counselor must ask their teacher for a “Request To See A Counselor” form.  They then fill it out and drop it off at the front desk or give it to their teacher.  The student will be called to see a counselor after the request is received. Students may also request to see a counselor in the case of an emergency.  The teacher can call the counselor’s office/front desk in an emergency situation.
  • Counselors are available to provide individual counseling, group counseling, and crisis counseling/intervention as well as social and emotional support.  Counselors are responsible for presenting classroom lessons, providing academic support services, and participating in special program staffing’s.  Counselors also help coordinate school-wide activities.

Specific Programs provided for students and parents:

Individual and Small Group Counseling – Based on the needs of our students, the counselors meet with students one on one or as a group with a common theme.
