School Event Safety Protocols – Limited attendance
We have now begun athletic programs and student athletes are preparing for their games. There have been changes to our event safety procedures to include limited event attendance. For football games, we are limiting visitor attendance to 50% of stadium capacity. So it will be important to get to the event early to ensure ticket availability. For athletic events in our school gymnasium, ticket sales will limited to four tickets per athlete. Additionally, although we will continue to sell tickets at the gate, some schools have moved exclusively to online ticket sales. We will notify athlete families of this information once it is finalized. All event visitors will be expected to wear a face covering. We understand these are significant changes and appreciate your understanding as we attempt to make every athletic event safe for our student athletes and their families.
Beginning in 2018, Pasco County Schools will have new safety procedures in place for all sporting events. Only clear plastic , clear vinyl, and clear Ziploc bags will be permitted. Diaper bags and medically-necessary bags are permitted and are subject to search. No other bags of ANY kind will be permitted, including backpacks, fanny packs, purses and duffle bags.
